In fact, when I look at some of the crystal bonding products in the craft supply section of my local big box home store, I see that they call their product “Ricochet”.

They also call it a hardener, which seems appropriate since it is supposed to be a hardener.

Of course “Ricochet” isn’t the only hardener on the market and some of the other brands of resins are just as sticky.

However, in my experience, “Ricochet” doesn’t have nearly the consistency of glue as some of the other brands do.

If you use a soft cloth to apply the crystals to your container it still stays fairly on top of the surface, even after several hours.

It can be somewhat difficult to remove, but not impossible.

With the other hardeners I’ve used, there was always some give, especially in the beginning, which made it easier to spread the resin.

But not with this one.

And after several applications, it still doesn’t adhere as well as some of the others.

So my advice is, while Resin may be wonderful for gluing decorative objects together, if you really want to use it for things other than craft projects, avoid the resin brand altogether. You’ll get your glue job without the hassle.
